Weekly and antique markets in the Langhe

Do you enjoy strolling through an authentic Italian weekly market, or do you prefer browsing stalls overflowing with antiques and curiosities? The Langhe and the nearby Riviera dei Fiori offer a wide variety of markets. Spend half a day exploring: you'll see, smell, taste, chat, and bargain with the farmers who arrive early in the morning.

Weekly Markets in the Langhe

  • Cortemilia (15 min) - Every Friday morning, a large weekly market spread throughout the town center. From fresh local produce to clothing and accessories.

  • Cairo Montenotte (25 min) - On Thursday mornings, a lively village market with a wide selection. Besides household goods, you'll find cheeses, sausages, pasta, and in spring and summer, plenty of plants and trees.

  • Acqui Terme (45 min) - A large weekly market in the town center on Tuesday and Friday mornings. On the same mornings, there's also a farmers' market in the parking lot of the Galassia supermarket. Nizza Monferrato (1 hour) - A large weekly market in the town center every Friday morning.

  • Alba & Asti (50 minutes) - Both towns have a lively weekly market every Saturday morning.


Weekly markets on the Riviera dei Fiori

  • Noli (1 hour and 10 minutes) - A charming market on the Ligurian coast on Thursday mornings, with many stalls overflowing with super fresh fish, straight from the sea.

  • Savona (1 hour) - Large, lively market on Saturday and Monday mornings.

  • Other market days on the coast - Spotorno (Tuesday), Albenga (Wednesday), and Finale Ligure (Thursday)

Antique markets

Prefer to browse antiques, vintage items, and curiosities? From Easter onward, the region's antique markets come alive again. A great way to combine a visit with lunch or a visit to one of the surrounding towns.

  • ​Nizza Monferrato – 3rd Sunday of the month (1 hour) - Located in the heart of the Monferrato region. A charming antique market, perfect to combine with lunch.

  • Acqui Terme & Asti – 4th Sunday of the month (45 minutes). Smaller markets, perfect to combine with lunch or a visit to the Bennet or Lidl supermarkets, located right on the main road.

  • Cherasco (1 hour and 15 minutes) - Charming town with various specialty markets, always on Sundays.

  • 1st Sunday in April, 2nd Sunday in September, 1st Sunday in December – Large antique and collectors' fairs

  • 2nd Sunday in May – Antique furniture, grande vintage

  • 2nd Sunday in June – Ceramics, objets d'art, watches, classic cars & motorcycles

  • 1st Sunday in July – Books, cards, music, records, philately

  • 2nd Sunday in October – Paintings, sculptures, antique toys & model cars

  • Turin – 2nd Sunday of the month (Grande Balon) - Combine a day in Turin with a visit to the largest antique and trinket market in the region. The markets are open until approximately 5:00 PM.

  • Saturday: Market in the Aurora district, near Porta Palazzo

  • 2nd Sunday of the month: Extra-large edition, more than double the size.
