CYCLING AND WALKING IN THE ALTA LANGA
From the Borgo, you can hop on your bike and explore numerous routes. The number of hiking trails in the region has grown significantly in recent years, and you'll find many more beautiful routes within a short drive.

In spring and autumn, the climate is ideal for walking or cycling. In summer, early morning or late afternoon is best because of the warmth.
Many guests bring their own bikes, but some villages also offer bike rentals. Feel free to inquire about the possibilities. With an e-bike, you can effortlessly explore the area and conquer the steeper climbs. Many routes are available on Strava, but I'm happy to share my favorite rides directly from the Borgo. They are typically 30–60 km, but you can, of course, make them as long as you like.
Hiking
Two popular hikes start from the Borgo:

Walk to Castelletto Uzzone
In about 30 minutes, you can walk to the local bar and bakery. After a cappuccino and a fresh roll, you can hike back uphill — a perfect way to start the day.

Walk to Prunetto (with lunch!)
This challenging but beautiful hike takes about two hours. If you leave around 9:30 am, you'll arrive just in time for a typical Italian lunch in Prunetto. With a full stomach and a satisfied feeling, you'll then walk back to the Borgo along a beautiful route. The surrounding area also boasts several nature reserves, and a short drive will take you through completely different landscapes. Every hill and valley has its own unique character.
Mini-tip: Also check out Komoot for beautiful hiking routes and suggestions.
Mountain biking
E-mountain bikes are becoming increasingly popular in this region. They make longer rides and steep climbs more accessible, while still allowing you to experience the joy of the terrain. There are routes for every level: from relaxed cross-country trails to technical trails for true enthusiasts.
Cycling
For cyclists, this area is a true playground. Not all roads are equally smooth—I'd be happy to tell you more about that locally—but the variety is fantastic. From the Borgo, you always start with a short descent to warm up. Then you choose between challenging climbs, panoramic rides over the ridges, or routes through the valleys. The final climb back to the Borgo is already a favorite among guests…
Exploring the region by e-bike
With an e-bike, you can explore the region at your leisure, without steep slopes being a problem. Along the way, you can stop for a delicious lunch, a wine tasting, or simply to enjoy the view.
